Henry Poole

The founding tailors of Savile Row, London.

Sitting proudly on Savile Row, Henry Poole is a family-run tailor that has been creating custom-made suits since 1806. Poole’s tradition of bespoke tailoring is as exceptional now as they were when first made, over 200 years ago.

Although a traditional tailor, Henry Poole are progressive with their use of modern fabrics and 21st century styling. They needed to modernise their existing website to help showcase the craft of a bespoke suit, champion the talent that works at Henry Poole and make it easy for existing and new clients to locate them when they tour around the world on their trunk shows.

To elevate the brand, a collection of photographs were commissioned exclusively for the site. These were a mixture of portraiture and still life that showcased beautiful store details, with candid shots of the tailors at work. These photographs paired perfectly with the elegant and light movements that loaded them onto the site, as they add another level of luxury to the brand.

A new feature being introduced to the site was the ability for clients to request up to ten complimentary swatches, this would enable them to see the fabrics before either coming for a fitting, or if they are a repeat customer to simply then order a new bespoke suit over the phone with their tailor. This was considered in the development of the wireframes to be a key feature of the homepage, and I wanted to ensure that it was easily accessed within the menu and in the bespoke section of the website.

No.15 is a subtle nod towards the store on Savile Row, on the website this houses all of their latest news and updates for clients around the world to see what is happing at the house of Henry Poole.

The Swatch Service allows new and current clients to order complimentary swatches to be used at a later fitting, whether done in person or using their existing patterns.
